| We had Broadway Jake’s DJ service for our wedding on August 15/09 at the Holiday Inn in Surfside Beach, SC. The professionalism that they showed before and during the reception was absolutely wonderful. Jake and his assistant made our reception absolutely astonishing. We were both really happy that Jake was able to find all of our requested music including; C-A- N-A-D-A by Stompin Tom Connors and Born in the USA by Bruce Springsteen since these songs complimented our family backgrounds. We had a last minute change with ceremony music and Jake was able to make it picture perfect. They kept our reception organized the whole time. | While planning our wedding, an over the top DJ was one of the most important things on our list of services needed. We were also working with a limited budget and needed to get this service for a good price. While out looking for photographers, we were given Jake and Kyle’ s card, so we called them. They met with us immediately to discuss their services and prices. It was at this point that we knew these two guys were going to be our DJs. They were very professional, yet personable, and they had an awesome price for what they offered. Not only do you get two AWESOME DJs, but they also work as the wedding director if you don’t already have one, which was amazing. Everything ran so smoothly the day of our wedding and the party afterwards was phenomenal thanks to Jake and Kyle. We owe them so much for being a huge part in making our special so remarkable. | Picking the DJ for your wedding is one of the difficult tasks. I wanted to make sure that we chose someone who was energetic and involved without turning it into games and playing just the typical line dance songs to get people to dance. I had interviewed a few people before meeting Jake and as soon as we met him and listened to his thoughts on the music and how he would DJ, I immediately knew he was the right DJ for our wedding. Being a bride is sometimes stressful and choosing music often ends up at the bottom of the list. I live out of state and Jake was awesome at emailing me songs and even mailed me CDs to listen to in the car and then send them back marking the ones I liked. He made sure that we didn't leave out any songs or dancing and played a role in setting up the wedding order. I was very worried the weekend of the wedding that no one would be dancing due to the different ages and preferences in music. Jake and Kyle made sure this was not the case. Looking for a DJ for your most special day can be very stressful. Jake was recommended by a friend who had him DJ on her special day. From the moment we contacted Jake, he was beyond accommodating!! He basically turned into our "Wedding Coordinator" doing both the music at the ceremony on the beach, as well as the reception. He made very helpful suggestions, because we had no idea where to start, and continued to be a godsend throughout! Never would we have thought we'd be able to afford what we actually got from Jake and Kyle. They are so much more than DJs. | We attended our friends' (Frank and Charlotte) wedding and we thought Jake was AWESOME, so we knew we had to have him DJ our wedding reception as well! Being that we were planning everything ourselves, Jake assured us that he would help keep everything together and organized during our special event. Boy, did he!! We couldn't have made it through everything without all of his help! But he and Joanna (his assistant) also helped out more that day than I could have ever imagine! While in my "Bridezilla" moment, my hair clip broke and I had NOTHING to style my hair with!! Jake and Joanna actually left to find hair clips for me so I could finish getting ready!! | A wedding is very stressful during the planning stages. When we first met Jake, all our worries regarding our daughter’s entertainment at her “fairy tale wedding” went out the window. It was apparent that Jake was extremely knowledgeable regarding wedding planning and genuinely cared for people so we hired him on the spot. We not only needed a DJ but a coordinator as well. From beginning to end Jake put us at ease with his easy going demeanor and his availability to meet with us on weekends especially since this was a destination wedding. His promptness and professionalism in all aspects of planning and running the event exceeded our expectations. We were very impressed as well with how genuinely friendly he remained at all times. I received his number as a recommendation from the owners of the inn who said he was good, but that was a complete understatement! | Dear Jake, Thank you so much for your help during my brother's wedding! As you know, this was the first event I had to plan from beginning to end, so I was very nervous about the result. Apparently, I really didn't need to worry. Everything turned out great! Without your calm demeanor and extremely organized approach, the music would have greatly disappointed my family from out of town. To my delight no one was disappointed. I know that our guests enjoyed the evening, they're still talking about it! I appreciate you taking on the challenge of Arabic music, not many DJs would be willing to do such a thing! :) I am confident that you will meet the expectations of any couple who requests you to DJ their wedding. | Hey Jake, Hope that everything is well with you. We have been back from our honeymoon in Playa Del Carmen for a couple of weeks and now that things are settling down a little bit, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for everything that you did at our wedding. Everything went very smooth for the most part but without you, it may have been complete chaos. You have obviously been doing the wedding scene for a little while and it shows. From helping to organize the rehearsal, to making sure people were having a great time, to making sure that our day ran as smoothly as it did...you really did it all. Kristi and I kept saying that we don't know what it would have been like if you were not there. It was so nice that someone else was there to take charge of everything and took so much of the stress off of Kristi and I. So many people at our wedding, including our officiant kept saying "how awesome you were," and "where did you find this guy." You truly made it an unforgettable event for us as well as everyone there. Anyways, we just wanted to thank you again for being a part of our wedding. He guided us on putting our own fingerprints on the music selection, organized the rehearsal when noone would help, and even found the extremely rare song i walked down the aisle too. | Being an out of state bride from Pittsburgh and having a wedding at Myrtle Beach wasn't easy but my vendors sure made it easier on me. My husband and I traveled to Myrtle Beach to check and book all of our vendors in one trip. We visited a few DJ's and we were not impressed with their prices or services. We came across Broadway Jake and he was very easy to get ahold of. We met and we were like this guy is UNREAL! He doesn't overcharge you like the other vendors we met with who want to charge your separate rates for DJ and MC services. Jake does them both and a ton more. He doesn't charge you extra for coming to your rehearsal, he wants to be there. He wants to make sure you are happy. He freaking coordinated our entire wedding for us because we didn't have a planner and we really didn't know what the heck we were doing. He ran through our ceremony and what we were supposed to do. He made sure I was okay when I was freaking out about the rain, which by the grace of God went away so we could get married real quick on the Ocean Club terrace overlooking the ocean. He went above and beyond what he should do and he is A STEAL! I feel like we should've paid him more for the amount of work he did and everything he did for us in between. People were on the dance floor all night long and we had a small wedding. He doesn't try to charge you more because of were your venue is and he is an honest and respectable individual. Everyone loved him and had a blast. Austin is three years old and Jake took him and had him spinning the turn table, I about lost it! Very personable and everyone enjoyed him especially Brian and I. Again Jake, Brian and I, can't thank you enough for having the dance floor packed and helping us with every detail of our wedding....you were a steal and truly an amazing person. | Jake is truly a GIFT!!! My husband and I are from Philadelphia, PA and we have traveled to Myrtle Beach together each year for vacation since we met - which is why we decided to have our wedding there. It was tough planning from 5 states away but luckily we found Jake. We are familiar with the area and have been to Broadway Louie’s plenty of times before and have always loved the energy and atmosphere Jake provides there. We found out that Jake does weddings by chance when we Googled “Myrtle Beach wedding DJ's” online. After we pulled up his page and went to the “Total Package Weddings” link and read his other reviews we were sure that we had found the right person. We met with Jake in his office where he told us about the service he provides - which is more than any other DJ we had spoken to - and honestly for the best price. He was genuine, friendly, and respectful. Jake literally helped orchestrate every part of our wedding - our lineup, schedule for the day, break down of the music for each part of the ceremony and reception, and all along treated us like we were part of his family or one of his best friends. Since we didn’t have a wedding planner and there wasn’t enough time for a rehearsal the night before he stepped in and really helped us to have the most beautiful flawless day possible. He arrived professionally dressed and kept our wedding party on pace and instructed them on what to do. He used the changes in his music to keep us on cue with what was or should be happening next. Jake even straightened out the train of my dress before I walked down the aisle with my Dad! Then during the reception he shined even more. He listened to our every request and more than followed through. This is someone who has music in his soul!! Keeping people on the dance floor is how he makes his living - EVERY DAY. It is an acquired skill that takes years of experience - which he has down pat! Between his karaoke shows, live entertainment at the hotels and resorts in the area, and radio shows, he is someone who knows how to read the crowd - and he did for our wedding as well. Everyone in our group loved him and kept talking about how on point he was. We all love to dance and he had us going the entire time. He made sure that we stayed on schedule and got all of our events in on time and worked with our photographers to make sure they were aware of what was next. We really couldn’t have asked for more - we consider ourselves very lucky that we were able to book Jake for our wedding date. He really helped to make it a dream come true. | We recently held out destination wedding at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach. It was not easy to find,meet with, and decide on vendors as our time in the area was limited. We traveled from New Jersey on several occasions and after meeting with Jake and Kyle, we were sure we were in good hands. Jake helped make the process easy for us, communicating with us regularly and even sending us a package via Fed Ex so we had hard copy to look through. The music library was impressively large, as we found every song we could even think to consider. When we arrived in Myrtle Beach, Jake took time out of his schedule to attend our rehearsal to ensure that everything would go smooth on our wedding day. His attendance really gave us peace of mind at a stressful time.On our wedding day, Jake took the reigns as our reception began and we couldn't be happier with the results. He was flawless as emcee, taking the time to learn everyone in our wedding party's name. Once the music started, Kyle had a big crowd on the dance floor all night! He played all of the songs we asked for and just knew what to play besides. We could have gone on for many more hours. Many guests raved about Jake and Kyle after the wedding and the next day. We really couldn't be more pleased with how our day turned out and attribute much of that to Jake and Kyle. They really went above and beyond to ensure that our day was perfect. | Jake and his team were absolutely wonderful! Jake was there from step one on planning our wedding. He went beyond his duty as a DJ and helped with the time line and execution of our wedding. Our reception was also wonderful. All our guests commented on how fun the reception was. I don't remember ever sitting down because I was having so much fun.
